SAMBA (SMBサーバ)を動かしてみる

RedHat Linux7.2 をインストールすれば、ソフトはインストールされていますので、設定ファイルをカスタマイズし、自動起動させるだけです。
パスワードファイル(
smbpasswd )の作成 
SAMBAのパスワードファイル（smbpasswd）を作成する
/etc/samba に移動し、以下を実行して、パスワードファイルを作成します。
# cd /etc/samba
# cat /etc/passwd | mksmbpasswd.sh > smbpasswd
先に作成した、smbpasswd を実行し、パスワードの設定をします。
# smbpasswd tomo
New SMB password: ********
Retype new SMB password: *******
Password changed for user tomo

"/etc/samba/smb.conf"を開いて、ワークグループ名を確認します。
# This is the main Samba configuration file. You should read the
# smb.conf(5) manual page in order to understand the options listed
# here. Samba has a huge number of configurable options (perhaps too
# many!) most of which are not shown in this example

# Any line which starts with a ; (semi-colon) or a # (hash)

自動起動は、以下のコマンドで行います。
# /sbin/chkconfig --add smb
# /sbin/chkconfig smb on
